Meet the Owner
Terry Humphrey is a skilled plumber with a lifelong passion for the trade. From the age of 8, Terry eagerly assisted his father, a seasoned service plumber based in Atlanta, during the summer months. Together, they installed sewers, waterlines, and septic systems, providing Terry with invaluable hands-on experience that would shape his future career.
Inspired by his formative years working alongside his father, Terry made a firm decision to become a plumber. By 1993,16-year-old Terry, though he had little knowledge of residential plumbing, took a position with a prominent residential plumbing company in Gainesville, Georgia. Terry’s thirst for knowledge and determination to excel in his craft led to swift progress. Within just six months, he became the Lead Supervisor for New Construction, overseeing the plumbing operations for a significant number of houses – over 500 each year – for the next four years.
During this period, Terry discovered a natural aptitude for troubleshooting plumbing issues, often finding solutions where others struggled. This earned him the reputation of being a problem solver, a nickname that stuck. Recognizing his skills, an even larger plumbing company approached Terry to offer him a position. Terry accepted the opportunity and soon made his mark as a go-to problem solver within the company.
Two years later, the owner approached Terry with an idea to start a new service division, which they successfully launched. Inspired by his growing expertise and a desire for new horizons, Terry decided to embark on his entrepreneurial journey. He dedicated himself to studying tirelessly, ultimately obtaining a Georgia State Master Plumbing License. In 2001, Terry Humphrey Plumbing was born.
With unwavering commitment and a focus on delivering exceptional service, Terry quickly earned recognition and respect from fellow plumbers, inspectors, and local communities. He became synonymous with his problem-solving abilities, leading him to adopt the slogan “Results, Not Excuses” as a testament to his dedication to achieving the best outcomes for his clients.
Over the next 22 years, Terry’s company thrived, attracting a large and loyal customer base who repeatedly chose Terry Humphrey Plumbing for their plumbing needs. The company’s success can be attributed to its hardworking and dedicated employees, who prioritize customer service above all else. Today, Terry Humphrey Plumbing is renowned as one of the most reputable companies in North Georgia.
For many years, Terry and his wife dreamed of calling Florida their home. With the solid foundation and exceptional staff they had built, the time was ripe to embark on a new chapter in their lives. Terry obtained a Master Plumbing License in the state of Florida and established a new company in Charlotte County.
